Real conversations with people you can actually trust, about things that genuinely matter. Those spaces are harder to find than they should be, so we started making some.

We meet up around the city... a brewery, a pizzeria, a table somewhere... and we talk. Ask anything. Share whatever you want. Or just listen. No signup, no membership, no pressure to come back.

Also, it turns out humans are fascinating when you give them a little room to breathe.

At a Curious Krewe gathering, we’re all about building real friendships and diving into life’s big (and small) questions with people who see the world differently.

At this gathering, we’re getting curious about how we define success for ourselves. Is it a title? A paycheck? A feeling? A peaceful morning with coffee and no unread emails? Or something else altogether?

Like we do every gathering, we'll break into smaller groups, with one person sharing their own evolving ideas of success. What it used to mean, what it means now, and what it might mean in the future. When they finish sharing their reflections on the question, the group will open up the conversation with curious questions and thoughtful dialogue. As always, it’s not about responding or debating, but more about wondering together and creating a space where new insights can emerge through genuine, curious conversation. Everyone gets a chance to offer their perspective, but there is no pressure to share. Just come ready to listen, laugh, and maybe ask yourself a few questions.

Success isn’t one-size-fits-all. It shifts. It softens. It surprises us. And sometimes, rethinking it is the most successful thing we can do.

Food? Yes!!!
Drink? Yes!!!
Judgment? Nope!!!!
Curious and honest people? Absolutely!!!!

This is how a typical CK Gathering looks:

  • We begin gathering at 6 pm to allow folks to get drinks, food, and settle in.

  • At 6:30 pm, we start our discussions.

  • We wrap up discussions a little before 8 pm and share a few parting words and details on the next gathering.

  • If you wish to continue your conversation or start a whole new one, everyone is free to stay as long as they wish.

Location: NOLA Brewing (3033 Tchoupitoulas St.)

Time: We plan to meet the fourth Thursday of every month from 6-8pm unless otherwise noted.

Every first and third Wednesdays beginning at 12pm meets The Seasoned Curious Krewe. This is a space specifically designed for older adults, where people can build real friendships, share stories, reflect on memories, and deepen their connection through honest, curious conversation. We gather because curiosity helps people feel seen, heard, and cared for. It helps us listen well, honor life lessons, and make room for every season of life. We do this by practicing....

Let’s be honest: showing up to something new can feel a little...weird. So before we dive into the deep questions and group wonderings, we’re hitting pause… and pressing play on something a little more casual.

Join us Monday at Second Line Brewery in New Orleans to "Meet the Krewe"! A low-key, judgment-free, curiosity-friendly gathering where you can meet other kindhearted, question-asking humans who are just as curious as you are.

No big topics. No agenda. Just faces, names, good beverages, and the kind of conversation that starts with “Wait, you love that too?”

🍻 Come early, stay late, or just swing by and say hi.
🌮 There’ll be food on-site, so grab a bite and pull up a seat.
💬 We’ll be hanging out, sharing stories, wondering out loud, and getting to know the amazing folks who make this group what it is.

Where we gather

Meet the Krewe

Second Line Brewing · monthly

Showing up somewhere new can feel a little uncomfortable. This one is built for that.

No big question, no assigned tables, no one putting you on the spot. Question cards on the tables if you want them. The Curious Dip of the Month, because snacks lower the stakes. People start rolling in around 6:15, things loosen up by 6:30, and we are usually done by 8. Come late, leave early, nobody tracks it.

Curious Krewe

Nola Brewing · monthly

Every month the community votes on one question, and that is what we talk about.

We break into tables of six, because six is small enough that nobody disappears and nobody has to perform. There is a facilitator at each table keeping things honest and moving. You can share as much or as little as you want. Passing is always fine. Some of the best nights have come from people who mostly listened.

The Seasoned Curious Krewe

This one is built for older adults, over lunch.

Most of this crew has known each other a long time, and it shows... the conversation is easy, direct, and usually pretty funny. New folks are welcome anytime. If you have lived long enough to have some stories, you will fit right in.

Same Curious Code as everywhere else. I am there every time, so find me and I will make introductions.
