A more curious , connected, collaborative way to love our neighbors in Greater New Orleans

Better with sound

What if belonging came first?

Just Love helps neighbors flourish—body, mind, and soul—by turning curiosity into care, care into deeper connection, and connection into collaboration across our city.

In Greater New Orleans, beauty and resilience live right alongside fragmentation, distrust, unmet needs, and the lingering effects of personal, communal, and institutional harm.

We believe many people are still hungry for meaning, belonging, trustworthy relationships, and practical ways to love their neighbors—but they are often cautious of institutions and skeptical of religion for good reason.

That is why Just Love exists: not simply to run programs or gather crowds, but to help create healthier, more trustworthy ways for people to encounter one another, care for one another, and work together for the good of the city.

Rooted in the life and way of Jesus, shaped also by the wisdom of other spiritual and philosophical teachers, and grounded in humility and honesty, we create spaces where people can ask real questions, feel seen and valued, receive practical care, build authentic relationships, and move toward collaborative action.

A few things that matter to Just Love

Two men are having a conversation at an outdoor event with a crowd in the background. The scene includes large trees, a building with a circular roof, and sunny weather.

We start with listening

Most people are talked at, not talked with. We’d rather hear your story.

Small is sacred

We gather in homes and cafes, because it keeps things grounded and human.

Wholeness is the goal

This isn’t about being “more spiritual.” It’s about becoming more whole together.

There’s wisdom everywhere

Truth doesn’t only show up in one place and we want to stay open to it wherever it appears.

What people are saying

  • "Just Love renewed my sense of purpose after Hurricane Ida and the loss of my church. It made me realize I’m not alone and can make a difference. The focus on the un-housed and programs like the Little Library excites me most. I hope to see Just Love become integrated into the community in the years ahead."

    - Shirley Johnson

  • "Just Love has restored my hope in humanity and given our struggling foster parent group new life. Thanks to their support, we’re flourishing. I appreciate the love and support from the community, and I hope to see this spiritual community grow in the future."

    - Ashley Carey-Betts

  • "Just Love has helped me engage more critically with the community and given me support from an incredible colleague. What I value most is the focus on building meaningful relationships and serving the marginalized, with spirituality being a choice, not a requirement. I’d love to see Just Love expand throughout Louisiana and beyond."

    - Rev Jeff Mueller

This isn’t a signup. It’s not a class. It’s just us, meeting up in a coffee shop or wherever you’re comfortable, to talk. You can ask anything. Share whatever you want. Or just listen. No expectations. No pressure.

Are you ready to connect?

We're already in your neighborhood

Snow-covered trees over a street with tire tracks and faint footprints, foggy background, a few pedestrians, and power lines overhead.

You won’t find a big building or a polished production. But you might find us at the local bar hosting open conversations. Or in a backyard talking about life and love. Or at a neighborhood table sharing a meal.

Our communities are small, organic and always growing. If you're in New Orleans, you’re already closer than you think.
